I just noticed the existence of thepokeacts challenge, and since I miss both the Pokemon fandom and writing things in general, I thought I'd motivate myself by participating in it. For other Pokemon writers: come join! I'm sure some great things will be produced.

In general, I'm a huge fan of character- and relationship-focused stories, whether it's about development or just introspection. Any rating is fine.

1. different perspectives -- inability to see oneself as clearly as or the same way as others do; opposing perspectives both having truth in them; seeing the same situation in different light depending on the point of view
2. realistic, human conflict -- hard-to-reconcile differences between characters; personality flaws or failings getting in the way of healthy relationships; misunderstandings and inability or unwillingness to communicate; seemingly small issues being very important to the characters involved
3. about the journey, not the destination -- focus on details of the characters, relationships, and situations; more about exploring and painting a clear picture than furthering a plot or point; reflection and introspection
4. extreme emotional situations -- pushing characters beyond their comfort zone or usual inhibitions; characters being forced to interact more seriously or with different people than they normally would; seeing someone at their worst or their toughest moment
5. hard-to-define relationships -- having a bond that doesn't fit cleanly into friends, enemies, or anything else usual; knowing someone well but not thinking of them as close; understanding each other to an uncomfortable degree

note: / is for romantic relationships and + for platonic, though any romantic relationships are also fine as platonic, and any relationships with more than two characters work for any combination of any of those characters. the pairings I listed are my favorites, but really I'd love anything with my prompts or the characters listed.

I've been working on this for a while and finally finished it. It's basically a tribute to Blue from Pokemon Special, since damn I adore her. Pretty proud of it, aside from a few issues with not having enough images.

Well... school's happening. I could probably think of a lot to say about that, but I'd rather not go into it. I'll just say I have hopes for completing the year with most of my credits and leave it at that.

I'm considering getting a game together online of Pokemon Tabletop Adventures. I'm not entirely sure yet about the details of how it would work, but I definitely think if we could get a group, it could work out. If anyone's interested in that by any chance, tell me; I want to see if anyone's interested.

My Let's Play is almost complete. Phew. I should probably stop trying to fight bosses that are way too hard for me, but I hate going back and re-screencapping, so... At least, like I said, it's almost done. I can't wait to post the ending, though it'll be a while before I do.

Welp. Feeling way better after a good two nights of rest; sorry if I worried anyone with my spontaneous angsting! I get like that over fictional characters, sad as it is.

So I'm hangin' around at home, working on my cosplay for AnimeBoston, and generally being happy. I feel like my singing is really coming along, and that makes me happy (did you know I can hit a high G now if I'm warmed up enough? Heck yeah~), and I probably should work more on my writing but I'm a little not in the mood right now, so oh well. Things will get written. At some point. I hope.

I've been learning to play "Drought" by Vienna Teng on the piano. It's going... slowly, but definitely not as slowly as it could go. I really need to get back into playing piano in general; when my vacation's over, I'm taking my family's keyboard with me so I have a piano to practice on.

Finished reading Homestuck, finally, and even though the troll storyline seems to have turned into a slasher flick I am loving it. Hang on, I need to ramble a little behind a cut...
